The DELF A2 (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française – A2 level) corresponds to the second level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). How does the exam work?
The DELF A2 exam evaluates four main skills, each worth 25 points, for a total of 100 points:
- Listening ( /25 ) → listening to dialogues, announcements, and daily-life situations.
- Reading ( /25 ) → reading simple but slightly longer texts: messages, information notes, ads, instructions.
- Writing ( /25 ) → writing structured messages: personal email, short story, request for information.
- Speaking ( /25 ) → presenting yourself, having a dialogue, asking for something, describing an event, giving a simple opinion.
Passing the DELF A2
- Score at least 50/100.
- Score at least 5/25 in each of the four skills (listening, reading, writing, speaking).
